I've been a game artist for the past 12 years. Ranging from Mobile games on the early Nokia phones, online "Advergaming", Facebook games, Mac and PC desktop games and iPad games. I have been fortunate to be part of great design teams at Octopi, GSN and Kihon, creating illustrations, logos and UI designs for titles like Poxnora, Wheel of Fortune, TGMotocross, Deal or No Deal, Scrabble, Dojo Danger, Baby Monkey and Conquest.
I've always loved doing sports art and have been lucky enough to do some work for the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys, as well as work on other projects that called for a sports theme. Here are some illustrations done for Cracker Jack, stadium cups, poster designs and many drawings and paintings from my personal collection.
Web design has changed a lot over the years. Even with higher bandwidth these days, users want to get in and get out of most sites. Be able to navigate quickly and find their information and move on. So however graphically intense a site is, the key is still good user interface design and effective use of graphics, photos and illustrations. Don't we all just skip past those lengthy Flash intros now, when it used to be so awesome to sit there in awe?
T-shirt designs are a passion of mine. From simple 2-3 color vector illustrations to full color, high-resolution, graphically intense images done for our soldiers over seas.
Creating a logo and a brand is fun. It is often a way to take a break from a very detailed illustration project to use your creativity to find multiple solutions for a large or small business, school, game, music group, etc. It's amazing how many mockups that can be done for one logo task. The brain will often keep coming up with more and more ideas. Fun!
In addition to being a game artist and web designer I work on plenty of other illustration projects. Print work and package design for companies like McDonald's as an example.
